Cheap and Painful

This Braun series 3 is the worst razor I've ever purchased. I had switched to Braun almost 20 years ago because of the QUALITY - despite it being more expensive than all the others. This razor will pull and snag constantly, lord forbid you miss one day of shaving. Miss 2 days, you better have a different razor to shave with. Sorry Braun, you left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never purchase another product (even coffee maker) from you again. You will lose many customers by going cheap.

51S Foil & Cutter replacement not good!

After using the 51S Foil & Cutter replacement for only two months it is dull and not giving a good shave. They are supposed to last for 18 months, but after only 2 it is not giving a good shave. What happened to the Braun quality??

Terrible stock quantity and quality control

My husband purchased this product after giving the 5 to our son. The new razor heads only last him about 3 months and now the cost is astronomical. Looks like P&G wants to push customers to other companies. I called to complain and got the excuse that it is the most widely used razor and so they ran out of shaving heads. A company with good management and good forecasting should be able to run their manufacturing much more efficiently. I absolutely would not recommend this product nor would I purchase any stock of this company as obviously it suffers from poor management.

Great shave gone horrible

I'm a 20+ year, loyal Braun shaver. In May I gifted a Series 7 to my recently graduated son as he began his career. He reported horrible shave experience...pulls, requires several passes and still not picking up hairs, etc. Of course I responded with, "give it time for your face to get used to it." Four months later he still hated it. So I gifted him a new block/foil (70s). When he reported no improvement, I gifted him a Norelco...to which his response was, "wow! Wish you had given me this the first time. Dad, you should try this one." Well, I may finally do that. When he visited in November he brought his "old" Braun shaver and both blocks home for me. I tried both blocks in his razor and mine and, sadly, my results were horrible. Worst shave I've had in 20 years. As a rule, I have always bought replacement blocks in pairs. So I pulled out my "new" block and had the same horrible shave. So all in, three "new" blocks...two replacements and one with a new razor. All with horrible results. So very sad. Looks like all good things come to an end. I guess it's hello Norelco for me.

Product quality has declined drastically.

Have used Braun shavers for at least 25 years. Got a series 7 about two years ago, and out of the box it was the best razor I've ever used. Approximately a year later I bought my first replacement cutter/foil set. Drastically lower quality. The foil hole design changed, reducing the cutting efficiency and comfort. The replacement sets also only last about 9 months. The replacement sets are not cheap, and now it seems like they are impossible to find locally. Sadly, it seems like I will need to research and try another brand.

Close shave, but pulls

I have had my 790 series razor for several years now. I have replaced the shaver head twice. I never had any problems with the original or first replacement head. However, the latest one I purchased has a tendency to pull almost every time I shave. This is not a pleasant experience. I love the close shave, but am not a fan of the discomfort/pain when it pulls a hair. I shave on a daily basis so this is not a case of going too long between shaves. I have read where Braun has changed the shape of the openings in the foil head and others experience the same problem with the new foil. This has happened right from the start of using the new foil, so it is not a case of it being worn out. While I like the close shave I am considering going back to my Norelco because of the pulling. I would be interested in hearing Braun's response.

new shaver design is horrible

I have owned my series 7 for about 5 years, typically I have to replace the head every 6 months as it is a pain in the butt to make 6-7 passes in the same spot. Dear Braun, I'm tired of having a sub-par shave, tired of having to replace the shaving head every 6 months, tired of having a irritated face after shaving. I'm going to buy a Arc5 as you have lost me as a return customer.

Goodbye Braun after 20+ years as a customer

I bought a series 7 shaver last year, after having used Braun shavers (series 3,5) for at least the past 20 years. This series 7 is absolutely the best shaver I have ever owned. But now reading of the unavailability of replacement heads and the inferior quality compared to the head that comes with the shaver, I am giving up on the Braun brand. I came here to shop for a shaver for my dad, but will not be getting him a Braun. Shame on P&G for ruining a once wonderful brand to make a few more dollars profit.

Not available in the UK anywhere

I have 2 of these series 7 razors (also owned a series 5) but there is literally NOWHERE (including this site) to buy a replacement foil that needs replacing every 18 months!! Wouldn't bother buying any Braun razor if they can not guarantee replacements will be available for a reasonable time. Shame I was going to buy a series 9 but moving to another brand now. Braun way of built in obsolesence I guess.

Disappointment

I was so happy with my Braun series 7 until I had to replace the foilWaiting for 4 months now. Just read some reviews on the new foils.Terrible reviews- from so many people.Could not find anything where Braun is trying to explain what is the root cause for either the shortage and qaulity problems. Look like they have accepted they are going down the drain.Sorry but if you cannot back up your product,maintain qaulity and provide spares your good name you had is in the mud.I will not buy a Braun again.
